Anyway... Just dropped by to tell you that I'm extremely hung over HP fanfics!! Stil hating Twilight.... aXBut I kinda like the START (haven't finished it yet.... and it looks like I won't) of New Moon... But I hate Bella there.... Whe was so.... clingy. Like: Oh no Edward left me, my life has ended! I mean. UGH!!!!
Oh well... Guess that's all...... :P

Okay, here comes another review......

Heheh... I'm just in the mood....

Anyways, I really like the books. The idea is very nice... I especially like the ending of The Last Battle... Won't put spoilers, though....

Plus, it's very religious.... I come from a Catholic school, remember?

Another plus. It has MANY connections to mythology and fairy tales.... I like that....

Yesterday ang kuhanan ng cards..... I got high scores.... My highest was 96 and my lowest was 93.... Not bad.... And I'm second in Grade 6!!! Yay me!

After the kuhanan, we went to Manila..... to my review... then to serendra.... I bought a celebratorial book.... "A Song For Summer" by Eva Ibbotson... It's real nice....

Harry Potter

Alright, so I said "coming soon", but I just can't help it!

Well, we all know Harry Potter. A series destined to be a classic. It's nice, and the characters have many layers. It's understandable and imaginative, and the movies are great.

My fave book in the series is POA (Prisoner of Askaban). I really like the Marauders and more info about Harry's parents were presented. But the others are all perfectly fine.

Except one. The last book. DH was really disappointing. Some scenes (like the snake coming out... oops, spoiler) are so..... unoriginal. So maybe it's hard to find original ideas nowadays, but it's J.K. Rowling. I expected better from her.

Well, there's not much to say about the other books. SS provided enough info about Harry and co., so the reader won't be puzzled when J.K. suddenly refers to something else. Which rarely happens. She's really a good writer. Her very first chapter was a bit mediocre though, but that's understandable. It's her first time, after all.

J.K. developed the characters properly throughout the series. They aged, they faced problems commonly met by ordinary people. The characters were very realistic. Well, I mean by the way they think and act. Who ever said wizards are realistic?

Well, so I guess that's all for tonight....

I HATE TWILIGHT!!!

Okay, no offense to anyone but...

I OFFICIALLY HATE TWILIGHT...

Bella there is so flirty and Edward is so perfect. And being perfect sucks because it very unrealistic. The writing style is kinda ok, but too... (ok, how do I put this?) insightful (?). EVERYTHING is happening in Bella's mind! And, personally, I don't like the way she thinks.... Sometimes, she's just so......... shallow.

And then everyone in school (not only in class) LOVES it. They really gotta improve their reading tastes. Alright, so maybe it's all in tastes, but still.... Stephanie Meyer is TRYING to copy Harry Potter (commentary coming soon :D). And HP is unique. It's very hard to copy.

Another thing. The characters in Twilight are so 2D. Ok, so I haven't exactly read the whole series ( I haven't even -and I don't plan to- finish the book) and haven't seen any hidden sides, but it's the first book. The first book should introduce the characters (at least the leads) clearly. But the way Ms. Meyer portrays her characters, they are so... shallow. No depth, no mystery. Well, in the case of Edward, we already know he's a vampire, and that's the only mysterioius thing about him. The characters are just underdeveloped. Perhaps if Ms. Meyer put more time on them, or on writing the book in general, she'll have a more polished product.

Oh, but I hope no one is offended. (Well, no one really reads this, but...) It's all in tastes. Some people love it. I'm just not one of those people...

Oh, and if anyone is reading this, do you know any good children's suspense/ adventure/ fantasy novel? Because I need a good book.

Oh, and I just reallyl want to tell this... I WON IN THE DIVISION SCIENCE QUIZ BEE!!!!!!! Regionals, here I come! I'll let mom post the pic of the medal, so ya'll can see...... Say congrats!

Okay, so I haven't updated for so long...... Ah, well.... Grade 6 is HA-A-ARD. Ugh...
Anyway, I'm in St. Mary Euphrasia, the first section. Many of my past classmates went down and plenty of others went up.... But most retained their spot... Oh well...
We were asked to make a journal by my Language teacher (also the moderator of Beaconette), so all my opinions are saved for there..... :D
Um..... I honestly don't know what else to say....
Well, I guess I'll see yah..... in the far future....
